Årdalskortet er obligatorisk for alle som skal fiske i Årdalselva fra og med 2025, ref fiskereglene. Årdal Elveeierlag  vil med denne registreringen få en bedre oversikt over fisketrykk, som igjen kan bidra til en bedre forvaltning av vassdraget. Inntektene går desinfiseringsstasjonen og til finansiering av andre lovpålagte oppgaver, lht. Lov om laksefisk og innlandsfisk, § 25. Iht. fiskeregler for Årdalselva skal alt utstyr som brukes ifm. fiske desinfiseres før fisket starter. Husk derfor å besøke desinfiseringsstasjonen på Tjentland før du skal fiske. Husk at det er pliktig registrering av fiskeinnsats på Årdalskortet.

In English: The Årdal Card is mandatory for everyone fishing in the Årdalselva River starting in 2025, in accordance with the fishing regulations. The Årdal River Owners' Association will, through this registration, gain a better overview of fishing pressure, which in turn can contribute to improved management of the river system. The revenue goes toward the disinfection station and the financing of other legally required tasks pursuant to the Salmon and Inland Fisheries Act, § 25.

According to the fishing regulations for Årdalselva, all equipment used for fishing must be disinfected before fishing begins. Therefore, remember to visit the disinfection station at Tjentland before you start fishing.

Note that registration of fishing activity on the Årdal Card is mandatory.
