The beat is fished from the south side and is approximately 1600m long.

Description:

The beat is divided into two parts and is fished from the south side of the river. The upper part starts approximately 30m above the bridge and the lower part starts approximately 180m downstream from the bridge. Both the upper and lower parts of the beat are varied with long, typical fly pools that are interrupted by rapids/small waterfalls that are suitable for bait fishing. It is a very idyllic place that is suitable for all types of fishing gear. The upper part can also offer formidable trout fishing.

The beat preferably requires moderate to high water flow for the fish to reach Bruhølen as they must first negotiate the salmon stairs in Fotlandsfossen. When the season progresses, there is likely to be fish on this stretch of the river.

Garpestad borders Lende in the upper part and Prestegård in the lower part, and boundaries are marked with signs.
