We’re aiming high and becoming the market leader in Europe in collaboration with FishPal 🫶

We are incredibly excited to announce that the two largest platforms for fishing booking and management in Europe, FishPal and Elveguiden, are now joining forces with immediate effect!

This merger unites the two leading providers of online booking services for sport fishing in Norway, the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia. Together, we are creating the European market leader in this segment and look forward to working together to bring more life to and around our rivers in the coming years. Our platforms receive 15 million visits annually, facilitate 80,000 fishing bookings, and now have 100,000 registered anglers.

This expanded company will enable us to offer anglers a wider range of fishing spots, species, and exciting travel experiences. At the same time, it opens up opportunities for even greater efforts to develop future-oriented solutions for the sale and management of fishing during challenging times that demand innovation. Throughout this transition, we will maintain our high level of service and fast response time with the same dedicated team at Elveguiden.

What does this mean for me as an angler? 🎣

The merger is an incredibly exciting step for all anglers, both in Norway and internationally. It means better opportunities and a simpler experience for you as an angler through enhanced short-term and long-term development of our solutions! Here are the key points:

📱💻 Elveguiden will operate as usual in 2025
You can still book fishing experiences, report catches, register disinfection, etc., via the Elveguiden app and website, just like before.

📱 Elveguiden PRO
If you have a PRO account in the Elveguiden app, this will continue unaffected. If you don’t already have a PRO account, you can still upgrade as usual. The merger with FishPal also means increased focus on app development, allowing us to create the ultimate tool for anglers!

📜 Fishing rules and information in one place
Elveguiden will continue to display fishing rules, fishing permits, and other useful information on the river and fishing area pages as before.

🌟 Enhanced fishing experience
The merger provides better services for anglers, landowners, and fishery management—both in Norway and internationally!

💻 Platform integration in 2025
Throughout 2025, work will be done to merge Elveguiden and FishPal. This will result in a Europe-leading platform and a larger company that can develop forward-looking solutions for a time that demands innovation and effective tools.

This is an exciting development for everyone passionate about salmon fishing! 🐟

What does this mean for me as a landowner/fishery management team in Elveguiden?

The merger of Elveguiden with FishPal is entirely positive for you as a landowner and/or fishery management team! This opens up new opportunities for product development in salmon management and tourism. The 2025 season will operate entirely unchanged and will be managed via admin.elveguiden.no, with anglers booking through the Elveguiden app and website.

🏆 Positive impact for customers
This collaboration provides new possibilities for product development, salmon management, and international marketing and partnerships. The 2025 season will be administered through admin.elveguiden.no, with bookings made as usual.

💻 Your river or sales page and products
These will continue to be managed from admin.elveguiden.no, with no changes for the 2025 season.

☎️ Same support team
The team you contact for questions or advice remains the same. We maintain our high level of service and fast response times by phone and email.

🎣 Anglers booking as usual
Anglers will book their fishing trips and find information about fishing rules and salmon statistics as before, via the Elveguiden app or website.

🚀 Increased focus on platform development
The merged company will invest heavily in developing a shared platform with improved digital solutions, aiming for a forward-looking service tailored to your needs, both now and in the years ahead.
