FAQ: Disinfection

There are many watercourses that use Salmonrivers' system for disinfection. Here's how to use it:
On the river's presentation page, you should find information about where the disinfection station(s) are located. Usually, these are also marked on the map. When you are at the station, disinfect your fishing gear, kayak, or other equipment that needs to be disinfected according to the watercourse's regulations before use in the watercourse. Spray the "Virkon S" disinfectant on the equipment to be disinfected. Let it work for a few minutes. Rinse with clean water. Open the Salmonrivers app. Remember that you must be logged in. Click on "Register disinfection". Here you should enter the "Station ID". You can find this five-digit code on a poster at the disinfection station. Then click on "Register new". You will immediately receive confirmation of the completed disinfection. If you don't use our app, go to the Salmonrivers website from the web. Remember that you must be logged in. Click on your name in the upper right corner, and then click on "My page". In the left margin, you will see the menu option "Disinfection". Click here. Then enter the five-digit code on the poster that you will find at the disinfection station. Click on "Register new". You will immediately receive confirmation of the completed disinfection.

Can't find the Station ID
The Station ID should be on a poster that should be hanging somewhere at the disinfection station. If you can't find the code, we encourage you to contact the management team of the watercourse. You should find contact information on the watercourse's presentation page.
