Refunds for Fishing Permits When a River is Closed

If a river or fishing beat is closed to fishing, please note that the refund policy is determined by the individual landowner – not by Elveguiden.

The applicable refund policy is described on each individual beat. In addition, our general Terms and Conditions apply:

How do refunds work?

The refund itself is processed by Elveguiden, but always in accordance with the refund policy and guidelines set by the landowner for their beat.

Several beats have updated their refund policies following the 2024 season. Many have introduced a deadline requiring refund requests to be submitted to Elveguiden Support within 14 days of the public announcement that the river has been closed to fishing.

We therefore recommend that you check the refund policy for the beat where you have purchased your fishing permit.

How to submit a refund request

To help us process your request as quickly as possible, please send an email to support@elveguiden.no. We recommend contacting us by email rather than by phone. This ensures we have all the necessary information in writing and allows us to clarify any details with the landowner more efficiently if needed.

Please include the following information:

  • Order ID
  • User ID
  • Date(s) of the fishing permit(s)
  • Beat
  • River

We will then process your request and assist you as best we can within the refund policy established by the landowner.

Kind regards,
Team Elveguiden
