Austnes Salmon Lodge/Østnes – Verdalselva

At the famous Østnesfossen, you’ll find a sought-after fishing beat with excellent opportunities and accommodation in log cabins at Østnes Camping, just a stone’s throw from the river. Fishing runs from 3 PM on arrival day to 12 PM on departure day, and upon arrival, you’ll receive a thorough tour and guidance of the beat. More personalised guidance during your stay can be booked for an additional fee. The landowner is available throughout your stay for any questions.

For larger groups, custom arrangements can be made. The cabins are of good standard with a kitchen/living room, two bedrooms, bathroom and toilet, and cleaning is included. The area also has sanitary facilities, a kitchen, and spaces for motorhomes or tents with power outlets.

Årgård – Årgårdsvassdraget

In tranquil surroundings by the Årgårdselva, you’ll find an exclusive fly-fishing beat, perfect for those who enjoy plenty of space, single-hand rods, and strong, freshly run salmon. You can rent the entire beat with accommodation in four comfortable cabins, just 200–300 meters from the river. Fishing covers approximately 1.7 km with varied rapids and pools, and only fly fishing is allowed. A boat for crossing the river is included, and guiding can be booked on request.

Salmon usually range from 1 to 3.5 kg, with the possibility of larger fish early in the season. Packages run from Saturday to Saturday and include accommodation, bed linen, towels, and cleaning. Årgård is located in the Namsos area, easily accessible from both Namsos and Trondheim Airport.

Ry Laksefiske & Gjestegård – Orkla

Fishing and accommodation, 7 days, up to 11 people

Groups of up to 11 people can now book packages at Ry Laksefiske, giving you the entire house and all fishing for yourselves. Fishing starts Saturday at 2 PM and lasts until the following Saturday at 12 PM, with checkout at 10 AM. Upon arrival, a tour of the beats is offered, and catering can be ordered.

The beats around Ry offer varied salmon fishing over 4.8 km of river, with rapids, pools, and fly stretches suitable for fly, lure, spinner, and bait. Ry provides varied fishing in calm and scenic surroundings. Among the most popular areas are Ryhølen, Røsøya, and Tverdalsmoen/Myrøya. Most beats have cosy shelters with barbecue areas and outdoor toilets.

In 2026, the fishing areas are expanded with Utiseggard, complementing the existing Ry fishing. The map is updated with the correct beat boundaries.

Namsentunet – Namsen

In 2026, groups of up to 6 people can book Laksesætra for a week and enjoy exclusive fishing at Namsentunet. The cabin is just a stone’s throw from the river, and breakfast buffet is included. Lunch and dinner can be purchased at the restaurant. Upon arrival, guests receive a guided tour of the beat by a local guide, with additional guiding available on request. Fishing starts Monday and lasts until Saturday, with arrival Sunday and checkout the following Sunday. Larger groups can contact us for customised solutions.

Namsentunet offers approximately 5 km of fishing, including the beats Øvre Mediå, Nedre Mediå, and Sanddøla. Boats with an approved local rower can be used for those who want to try boat fishing, but it is not permitted to use the boats independently.

Dalheim – Laggo

Fishing and accommodation, 7 days, up to 10 people

Dalheim is located 3 km up from the Laggo fast boat pier, beautifully situated on the southern bank of the Langfjordelva. The farm includes the main house, storehouse, barn, sauna, and several charming buildings, and is currently run by Eva Heika and Trond Rypdal Sveen.

Dalheim offers exclusive salmon fishing on its own beat, with excellent opportunities at Jensenkulpen, Charlesholla, and Nedre Hyttedammen. The main house can be rented weekly for groups of up to 10 people, including fishing, while the storehouse Rolfbu is suitable for 1–3 people on a daily basis. Upon arrival, a tour of the beat is offered, and additional guiding can be booked.

The farm also has a sauna, great hiking opportunities, small game hunting, and excellent conditions for observing the Northern Lights. Access is by plane, Hurtigruten, and/or fast boat, with a short walk to the farm. Depending on water levels, wading across the river may be necessary.
